The Grandparents' Day celebration was held at DAV Public school, Sector 10A by the little munchkins of LKG on 5 March 2025, bringing together students, grandparents and teachers for a heartwarming and memorable event. The function aimed to honor the important role that grandparents play in the lives of their grandchildren while promoting intergenerational bonding.

The event kicked off with a green welcome by our torch bearer Headmistress ma'am Ms Meetu Budhiraja followed by a warm welcome address by the esteemed Principal ma'am Ms Aparna Erry, who spoke about the significance of grandparents in shaping the values and character of kindergarteners.

The students took center stage to depict the classic fairytale 'The Golden Goose'. The tiny tots stole the show with their confident dialogue deliveries and synchronized dance performances. They looked absolutely adorable donning their colourful attires.

The show culminated with felicitating meritorious students for their achievements in various co-curricular activities through a certificate. Grandparents were full of pride and appreciation for their talented grandchildren.

One of the highlights of the event was a heartfelt speech by a grandma. She put forth her journey and feelings of becoming grandma and appreciating the school for instilling great moral values in the children.

In the spirit of the celebration, a high tea was organized, where grandparents enjoyed snacks, tea and conversations.

The event was a great success, with everyone leaving with big smiles, fond memories and a deeper appreciation for the invaluable role of grandparents.
